June 9th 2024 marks World Accreditation Day (#WAD2024), a global initiative established by ILAC and IAF to promote the value of accreditation.
On March 12, 2024, BLA-DSS successfully held a virtual seminar (using Zoom Conference Application) “Strengthening key Aspects of Ethics and Integrity for Laboratory Accreditation” to those of staff who undertake laboratory accreditation activities.
On March 4, 2024, the Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) provided a virtual seminar “Method Validation” to relevant BLA personnel, assessors and other relevant stakeholders, with a use of Zoom Conference Application.
On February 27, 2024, the Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) provided a virtual seminar “Strengthening Competence of Accreditation Bodies and Quality Assurance for International Recognition” to relevant stakeholders, with a use of Zoom Application.
On February 19, 2024, Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation said that it is astonishing that Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) has been recognized as an accreditation body of the country according to International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA). In this regard, BLA ranked 5th in the world for Competence of Proficiency Testing Providers according to ISO/IEC 17043 (as of 2024).
On February 6, 2024, the Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) provided seminar “Preparedness of Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for Competence of Calibration Laboratory According to ISO/IEC 17011”. The seminar was held on-site at Room 519, Floor 5, Analytic Chemistry Building, DSS and simultaneously, the seminar was broadcasted using Zoom Application to relevant stakeholders.
