On 4 July 2024, Dr. Rungrueng Kijphati (MD), the Director-General of Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) under Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation welcomed assessors to the seminar “competence in certificate of calibration”. Dr. Rungrueng Kijphati acknowledged that with an attempt to strive for leverage in personnel’ competence and sustainable competition in trading, results of measurement are the need of decision process made for trading and if possible, the result of measurement is a potent resource important to determine the extent of assurance of products’ manufacturing processes. Laboratory instruments’ calibration therefore made the results of measurement reliable and globally widely-accepted. As well as to such trading benefits, this work enables metrological traceability. Indirectly, this work is a foundation of wellbeing and safety of people’ lives, when high-quality products are placed on shelves.
Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit, the Director of Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS), added “it is a promising opportunity for accreditation work that BLA as a host, this seminar has been delivered by an esteemed expert of the field of interest, Dr. Charan Yafa, Assistant Director, National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT).
